LIVE + BREATHE

Impact on Urban Health, Guys & St Thomas Foundation

LAUNCHING A CLEAN AIR MOVEMENT THAT CELEBRATES THE THINGS WE LIVE + BREATHE.

South London neighbourhoods are among the most polluted in the UK. Black and brown communities are the most impacted, least likely to add to the problem AND the least represented in the fight.

We created LIVE + BREATHE, a community run movement and collaborative arts campaign spearheaded by Musician Love Ssega. Inviting people to celebrate their community and the things they love to do outdoors, all whilst speaking up about the inequality in the air. The project has come to life as a day festival, a night at Peckham Levels, expressed through multiple films, music, artworks and workshops, and OOH, social, digital campaigns.

Now in it’s third year, the movement is growing day by day. There’s been university essays written about it, a BBC Radio 4 doc feature, and most importantly - multiple invites to parliament. L+B collaborates with UAL, and the creative has been aired at arts and climate events including at The Royal Opera House, The Southbank Centre, and at Billie Eilish’s Overheated at the O2 Centre.
