THE UNITED NATIONS VERIFIED

The United Nations Global Communications

Reaching 1.4 billion people with life saving creativity during a global pandemic

Verified is a new United Nations communications model. Part newsroom, part publisher and content agency, part on-and-offline community participation network. Designed as a crisis response to the COVID-19 “infodemic” to reach people in every corner of the world with science, solutions and solidarity.

Through global campaigns and regional activations, influencer and celeb partnerships, 250 media collabs, and the recruitment of 70k members of the public to share information - we reached 1.4 billion people, in 130 countries (and 50 languages). Tipping the scale on fear and misinformation to flood the world with hope and advice.

A colorful collage about COVID-19 vaccination and misinformation with phrases like "We have found a vaccine," "Verified," and "Can have big consequences." Includes graphics of people in masks, virus icons, social media symbols, and fake news papers.

We recruited and trained 100 doctors and scientists to become Team Halo content creators. Amassing 300 million views on TikTok alone, and increasing vaccination intent by 12%.
